The Colbert Report happened. Stephen didn't have the time to put in to the show and Reducto and Phil Ken Sebben were characters that the show couldn't do without. Rather than go into death-spasms like Sealab did, 70/30 decided to end it and focus their attention on a new, untitled project. There are still 3 episodes left in the last season (Dunno why they're sitting on them) and that'll be all. Can't wait to see what their new project is, though...

I had no idea it was canceled, I just remember them killing off Colbert and then 1 or 2 episodes after that it stopped airing...

Harvey Birdman was the only Adult Swim show I've seen and liked.  Where else could you see Gary Cole and Stephen Colbert duke it out?  :)

Are any of the former Birdman crew involved in the Tek Janson toons?   I've pre-ordered the first issue of the Tek Janson comic. Wish I could get to NYC for Colbert's convention appearance.

I didn't much care for the Tek Janson cartoons.  They were entertaining, but that all that funny.  Though the last one, with the time travel, was hilarious.  The pace was picked up and the jokes were flying left and right.  Good stuff.  Hopefully they continue to get better.

And I also liked Harvey Birdman.

Oni Press is producing the Tek Janson comic.  First issue possibly in April?  Do you have a comic book source or maybe Colbert Nation will provide a link soon?

I'm afraid that Comedy Central will screw things up as they often do... (the Tek Janson cartoon, I mean)
