As much as I love this movie, I have an issue with the DVD re-edit. In the Spock/Valeris interrogation scene, they added "flashback" footage of all the members of the conspiracy as she says their names. This is distracting and disrupts the tension of the scene. And why is it necessary? Did the people working on the DVD really think that Star Trek fans, notably among the most obsessive people on earth, and as such have probably seen this movie hundreds of times already and know who every character is, would forget who each of the characters is by the time they got to this scene on the DVD? I can only hope that for the Blu-Ray release they went back to the original version of this scene.
