Just picked this game up last night, since I already have a Station Pass, it's not costing me anything more monthly to play.
Seems like it might be a very good game, much more 'hardcore' than the recent games like WoW and Lord of the Rings. But right now it's a crash happy fool (still first week of retail)

If you already have it, where are you playing?
If you don't, hold off a month or so and give it a try. Reminds me a bit of Asherons Call back in the day, with a good measure of EQ2 thrown in as well. Asherons Call was always my favorite of MMOs so I am (going to be hoprfully when it runs consistently) digging it.

I don't play MMORPGs, but I do love RPGs.  I'm currenty going through Dragon Quest: The Journey of the Cursed King.  And Rogue Galaxy looks pretty decent, so I think that'll be my next purchase.

i'm really enjoying it.  i loved the old days of everquest and this one feels like that.  i have had a few crashes but nothing that makes me want to quit and come back in a few months, i'll just put up with minor annoyances and keep playing.  i'm on thunderaxe by the way.

I've been stung by this very bizzarre (John Byner) bug that just keeps booting me back the character select screen, which then is populated by my guy and this very generic human guy with white hair and clothes. It seems that with the patch last night, the problem may be fixed on mine, but there are still a ton of guys on the forums there that are still having the same problem. I think this game is going to be very good once it's lined out a bit better.

i keep seeing shouts of people that have that character bug but i havent experienced it (yet) and none of the friends i play with have had it happen either.  those are always the toughest bugs to track down because you cant set up a situation where you can force it to happen.  i started everquest 1 about 2 or 3 months after it started and it still had some bugs but nothing that caused major problems with playing.  i think in a month, this game should have all of those things taken care of and then patches will be mostly new content and UI tweakes.  i'll probably be playing it for at least a couple years.
