What did we learn?
« on: November 23, 2010, 05:22:00 PM »
Besides stuff we should already know?  ;)

Well!

I learned that grade-school children in 1983 were easily confused by calendars and need to say numbers out loud in order to count.

I learned that women in 1983 had no shame when it came to camel toes.

I learned that the calendar is needlessly confusing and metric version is needed.

I learned they gave this kid the "easy calendar" and easily could've delved into those leap years we don't practice once every couple centuries, how business calendars start on Mondays and so much more.  I'm 30 and the stupid thing still mixes me up.  Luckily I can click on my taskbar's clock, my watch, my phone or pretty much count by 7 to do my day-planning.

I haven't seen it yet, but I'm going to assume the Calender and How to Use It.

...I learned that women in 1983 had no shame when it came to camel toes.

NBA players of that era had no shame, too.  :scared:

I learned:

- Scott Baio lookalikes had a free reign in the 80s.
- You can spend 15 minutes needlessly complicating calendars to the point that the kids will be asking questions for 30 minutes after the film.
- The two annoying cheerleaders from the SNL sketches were still less funny than these guys
- Kids who watch too much Glee doesn't realize that this is what your prospects are if you're a music/theater major.
I was a student at a small midwestern college....

Children who don't know how the calendar works will comprehend the word 'abbreviated'.

I learned that Tam Elbrun traveled back in time to become a professional calender instructor.
