Is Troll 2 gory?
« on: July 15, 2008, 11:39:21 AM »
Hi.  I don't mind a suspenseful movie, but I really, really, hate gore.  To the point where I couldn't even watch first Cinematic Titanic release because of the brain surgery.

With that in mind:  is Troll 2 gory?  Should I give this one a pass?  Or is it worth watching for the riff?

Your opinion is wanted.  Thanks.

I honestly do not recall seeing any blood.   I know they had some green slime, but I dont think there was ANY blood or injured body parts.

PSL speaks the truth.  Any instances where blood could have been in this movie are all replaced with green slime.  There might be a few instances of blood, but it's very minor, if not forgettable, as in less than a nosebleed-levels of blood.  The most cringe-inducing part of this movie might be when the witch lady loses a hand, but in my opinion, that part's played up to a point at which it's hysterically funny, between the green goo coming from the stump and the earsplitting screams.

I don't think you have too much to worry about with this movie.

Go for it! There's just green goo, and the journey is so worth it for the finale...

...just bask in the goofy fun!!

For this one, I think you'll be perfectly fine.  Watch the sample.  That's a perfect example of the level of "gore" and "violence" in this movie.

The only real violence in this movie is its overall cruel and callous assault on your senses.

Trust me, you will not be scared at any part of this movie.
Any attempt Troll2 makes to be scary, only seems to spiral it into out of control "wackiness"

True. It wasn't gore that was a problem for me . . . it was just general ickiness. Like, "How could anyone have such a nasty, dirty little imagination that they came up with this crap? I need to go take a shower."  :speechless:
