I'm using the usual DVD Decrypter & GoldWave method & haven't had any issues so far. It ripped it without issue & the sync lines are matching up.

I did straight DVD Decrypter too, had to kill about a minute and a half of silence from the end of the audio track and shove it at the beginning when i got back to the mix-down part.  The riffs synced fine, but getting the mixed audio to sync back up with the video required the slight adjustment.  :)

Hm. I didn't do that. Hopefully I'm not making a coaster in my DVD Burner right now.

Yep. Made a spiffy coaster that also can be used as an out of sync DVD!

So did you just use trial & error to get it to match up?

That's why before I burn them I use VLC to "Open Disc" of the DVD folders I made. Dark Water and Grey's Anatomy gave me the same problems, just had to add a little, check it, add a little, check it.

Yeah, I loaded it in DVDShrink and "previewed" it... The dialogue shows up within the first minute, so it didn't take long to know that the girl's mom's voice was off.  VLC also works for previewing, and loading the VOB in mplayer on Linux works as well.

If you don't mind using one more disk, you can use DVDFab to rip a copy and burn it to disk.  Then run the copy through DVD Decryptor to start the re-authoring process.  This is what I did.  I have neices who will watch the un-riffed copy, but you can always use that one for a coaster too...

Or instead of wasting a disc you can have DVD Fab just make an ISO file and then mount it on virtual drive. That is what I did a few posts above.

That's actually what I normally do... (being on Linux I use Windows apps in VirtualBox, so mounting an ISO is easiest) ...but the HSM dvd wouldn't rip for some reason, so I gave up. (lazy)

I wasn't far off.  I tacked 1.5 sec from the end onto the beginning & it was perfect.

I think you made a typo.  This isn't going to be a problem when you're filling out expense reports for the trip to Sundance Festival we're sending you on is it? ;)

I used Audacity. I think K1 used Goldwave.  We simply did the DVD Decrypter like normal, and after mixing down the audio moved 1.5 seconds from the end to the front. Tada.

I used ReJig - put in -1 sec delay during reauthoring and it synced up perfectly
