Just a basic starter game. Bakerloo remains wild for the whole of the summer season.

Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Hmm...a tricky move.  Well-played.  Guards against the Susquehanna Strategem as well.

I'll come back round with the Larsen-Chimendez countermaneuver and go with High Street Kensington.

Hmmm... didn;t realize the standard of play here was quite so high. Curse myself for starting with Stovald's.

Fairlop as a blocking / time-winning manouvre

Ah, the old Jadwiga Defense.  Went with the defensive play there.

I'm going to bypass the first highwater threshhold and head straight onto Whitechapel by invoking the Bournemouth Clause.

I think the good Doctor went to MorningCon 2009 (Des Moines) - we should have crossed paths - were you the one in the lilac jumpsuit?

Essentially the "new Stovald's" allows transitional play, so all that old-timer stuff about "segmentation of the lines" is all out the window.

Mortlake for obvious reasons.

No, that was my uncle.  I was the one in the fringe jacket and coonskin cap.  I can understand the confusion since we look rather similar.

Having anticipated your strategy, I've had my next move prepared for quite some time now, and have decided now to fully seize the initiative with a move to Monument.

I seem to remember thinking that the 'coon was still alive inside it - it seemed to be moving all over your head...or was that the beer?

Nice move. I think that's boxed King's Cross on all six sides, right (?). OK, so Monument... M N O P Q R S T U V...
