In the description, it mentioned the ONLY COMPATIBLE DVD COPY EVER, on Amazon. Does that mean that this one on Netflix won't work?

The disclaimer is there to tell you which is guaranteed to work. It is the one they made the track with. The DO NOT guarantee any other disc. You can try it yourself and see if it works but don't blame RiffTrax if it doesn't. They don't find every DVD and try them out.  Personally, (working in the DVD retail biz since DVD started) I have seen at least 10 different releases of this.

You can't add that Netflix one to your queue.

You can save it for when/if they get it, but it's not available for rental at this time.

Is it sad that I already own this on DVD?

I bought it for $2 at a convenience store and took it home and proceeded to riff the crap out of it the whole time I was watching it. I was pleasantly surprised when I got an email about it getting the rifftrax treatment. :)

Are there any copies of this out there with decent video quality? The archive.org and rifftrax versions are poor (but definitely watchable), with lots of "ghosting" (I think that's the correct term) which can be a little bit annoying. It's probably not worth the effort to "upgrade", but I was just curious. I wouldn't be surprised to find out that all versions came from the same crappy taped-from-TV-on-VHS source.

There really aren't. This was the best quality we could find, and I definitely agree - it's rough, even after doing some work on it. The DVD's we tried all look like they were converted from a 5th generation VHS.

Video quality is really the only downside to doing TV movies, other than rights and such.
