Yeaaah...my ears definitely have taken some abuse over the years as well. I feel bad for the poor office next to mine that has to deal with my volume levels.
We tested the MP3 with the archive.org file and it works. So yes, we will be selling it. There's no way of knowing that it works with any DVD other than this one though: http://www.amazon.com/Boy-Plastic-Bubble-John-Travolta/dp/B0000Z6N9M/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1280504904&sr=8-1We will put up a disclaimer on the page encouraging you not to buy the MP3 unless you have that DVD or are going to use archive.
I can understand that. I also am thankful that you guys help out the minority of us that roll our own. It wasn't me who used the phrase "properly ducked" in a recent thread. One of the main reasons I like the source files for the shorts is because I put 10 of them together for one big movie and it is nice to have the volume consistent across all ten for one of my dvds. Some shorts are overall louder than others.I understand you are a professional and that the final products are for the masses and you do what sounds good to your ears. My ears on the other hand are shot from years of playing in loud bands and going to shows. I don't wear earplugs. Never have and probably never will. I go to a show and my ears are ringing for days and days. Having the ability to make a RiffTrax that sounds good to my ears is a good option to have and I appreciate that you include the source files.
