I like the books and I like the movies.  I'll definitely pick it up on blu-ray.  They're fun.  But it's not anything I need to see.  The next movie I'll probably see in the theater will be The Dawn Treader.

I watched all the movies for the first time over a week around Christmas time and really enjoyed them so I'll probably check it out, cool clip

Where have you been? December 2010 (I'm looking forward to it mainly because David Arnold's doing the score...)

Anyways, this Potter movie looks pretty good. Plus, I'll actually be able to follow the action, unlike the book, where Rowlings' prose kept making me go back and re-read passages to follow what was going on (it was a good book, but still - Jeezus, J.K., simplify your sentences!)

And Alexandre Desplat said in a Cannes interview that he's gonna incorporate Williams' theme into his score (http://www.harrypotterforum.com/comments.php?DiscussionID=1241&page=1), so that's very promising (while we may not have The Maestro himself returning - damn you, Tintin movie! - at least Desplat will actually write a score instead of background mood music...)

Yeah, the Hooper scores blow goats.  I thought Doyle's was great though.

I know we've had this difference before, but I like the scores from 6 and 7 the best.

Well, I will say that a lot of times throughout the book I was thinking "Wow, this will be so cool in the movie adaptation."

I'm hoping against hope that the film will actually fix and streamline some things. The book had a lot of character inconsistency and just oddness that made it seem more like a well-written fanfiction than an authentic Harry Potter novel.

Harry Potter fans are abuzz this week with news that the final film installment, "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows," will likely include a dream sequence featuring Harry (Daniel Radcliffe) and Hermione (Emma Watson) in a "very sexy" nude scene. The film, slated for release in two parts -- the first opening in late 2010 -- includes "mature" content that director David Yates created exclusively for the big screen, while axing parts of author J.K. Rowling's original manuscript. Is it wrong to sex up a childhood icon like Harry Potter?

one could hope they will not do this, but the curse  of twilight continues

Both movie series are horrible, so throwing more boobies on the screen may be the way to go.

Er pretty sure if anyone is in that scene shouldn't it be the little ginger girl?

The article says it's a dream-sequence.

Right but even so shouldn't that dream sequence not undermine the relationship developing between his two friends and between himself and the sister of one of those friends and rather reinforce the latter relationship?

It doesn't really make sense to do it any other way, narrative wise.

It's make more sense if it involved the Asian girl actually if we're going to have him playing away while in the arms of Morpheus.
