I don't do many webcomics, but I've been reading 8-Bit theatre since the beginning. Nothing but cool comes from that comic strip. :^)

I'm definitely intrigued. I'll have to check it when I have 400+ pages worth of time to spare. :^)

I try to avoid web comics since they either...

1) Try to hard

2) Don't try hard enough

3) Don't update enough to make it worth the time to check

Pac, start at the beginning on OOTS. The pages will fly by, especially if you've got RPG experience in your background.

Some other recommendations:
Mad Science Based:
www.narbonic.com (Narbonic, which ended at the beginning of the year, but the author is rerunning the 6 years of the strip. The early art is a bit rough, but it gets better. Plus, she's a fan of a certain cowtown puppet show.)

www.girlgenius.com (Girl Genius by Phil Folgio. Steam punk era mad science. Gorgeous art.)

http://project-apollo.net/mos/ (Miracle of Science, which also is juuuust about to end. )

Fantasy:
www.dominic-deegan.com (Dominic Deegan, Oracle for Hire- Fantasy. Starts small, gets quite epic. And quite pun filled.)

Sci-Fi
www.schlockmercenary.com  (Schlock Mercenary. Space opera-ish, with a fairly hard SF edge. Pretty funny as well.)

Slice of Life:
www.megatokyo.com (Megatokyo. 6 and a half years of strips and almost a week of time has passed! Generally good when the author remembers to advance the plot a tad.)

www.questionablecontent.net (Questionable Content- 20-something slackers talk about coffee, music and stuff.)

www.homeonthestrange.com/ (Home on the Strange - Very geekish slice of life.)

www.leasticoulddo.com (Least I can Do - Adult-ish content but often very funny. No nudity though.)

Just quick mentions:
www.moderntales.com/comics/anywherebuthere.php
www.webcomicsnation.com/snufflymonkey/yearone/
www.elfonlyinn.net
www.nopinkponies.com
www.irregularwebcomic.net
www.sluggy.com

And some undead strips, stuck in hiatus-land:
Casey & Andy
Melonpool

Don't know the link but one I check on occasionally is Supernatural Law by Batton Lash, a comedy about lawyers representing all things spooky.

I've been ready Sluggy.com for years
I kinda like leasticoulddo.com...it's updated 6 days a week.  I don't much like the main character...but the daily hotties in the forum keeps me coming back for more!
