Crop-circle makers ought to pack it in now.  They can't top this, and they should have the humility not to try.

There are things the Japanese just do better.  Many of them are freaky-bizarre; some of them are sublime like this.  On average, I'd say it's a plus.

I live about 20 minutes from the Inakadate fields.  I have gone to see them every year.  I have been teaching English here for about 3 years now.  Last year a friend of mine got the opportunity to harvest the "art" when it was ready.  You can also purchase the rice from the gift shop.
