Pod People and Mighty Jack for Joel.

Werewolf for Mike.

Those are my favorites. Best is probably Godzilla vs. Megalon or Pod People. They both had great riffing with awesome host segments.

Winner: Pod People.

That's tough.  I have only seen about half of all the MST3k episodes, but I love so many of them.  Manos, Red Zone Cuba, Mitchell...  I have a strong attachment to the Sci-Fi seasons though, so...Time Chasers.  Maybe.   ;)

Whenever I see a SCI Fi episode I've never seen I feel happy because it seems guaranteed that I will laugh.  Gotta say it.  To me the CC era is hit-or-miss at times.

ahh the classic CC vs. Scifi argument.

My money is on Scifi for general consistency.

My money is on more people liking Sci Fi over CC.

As far as what's better, depends. Season 3 is the best season by far, in my opinion, so I'd go with CC just because of that. But the Sci Fi era has great periods, like the second half of Season 8, middle of Season 9.

I think the main reason that people like the CC era is the strength of the host segments.

But SciFi host segments aren't bad, I quite enjoy their non sequitur-ness.

Most accessible episode for new MSTies: The Pumaman

Best Least awful movie ever riffed: Danger Diabolik

Darkest movie ever riffed: The Brain that Wouldn't Die, or possibly The Incredible Melting Man

Worst movie ever riffed: Monster A-Go-Go

Most impenetrable movie: The Beast of Yucca Flats

Out-and-out funniest episode: either Zombie Nightmare or Deathstalker and the Warriors from Hell

Those'd be my picks...

Cheers,

Cy.

I really like the Scifi era best, but forced to choose, I'd say that my favorite Joel episode is "Mitchel" and my favorite Mike episode is "Space Mutiny".

These are my  2 favorites too..and Final Sacrifice.  I actually bought the un-MST3k version on ebay...awesome stuff.

...and long live the DAP!!!

although i haven't been around there for a while, but do check out what dvd's are being made.
