Much as I hate this move, you can't say ABC didn't promote the everliving HELL out of this series.  I couldn't move during an episode of Lost or V without tripping over a fucking Happy Town promo.  LOL

I'll be sad to see it go though.

They promoted the hell out of it, yes... but not WELL.  I had NO effing clue what the show was going to be until after I downloaded it and watched it.  By the teasers they kept airing, I was under the impression it would be some horror show, closer to an attempt at capitalising on the Supernatural fanbase.

Between being as ill-informative as they could be about the show, to scheduling it in a time slot where no one would really bother checking it out to see just what the hell it was (because there were other things on that people KNOW they like at that time), ABC just really screwed the pooch on this show.
...and there he was, reigning supreme at number two.  The One... The Only... The Unabeefer.

That's a fair point.  For me the marketing campaign intrigued me because I literally knew nothing about the show before watching the pilot.  I didn't even know any actors who were in it.  I made the choice to go in unspoiled because the promos kept me unspoiled.

But most people aren't like me.  LOL So I think you make a good point.

My wife and I started watching the first episode last night and were really enjoying it, but about 20/30 minutes in we took a break to make a cup of tea. My wife asked who created the show, so I looked it up and saw that the show was in danger of being canceled and we turned it off. I hate getting invested in a show that gets killed before it's had a chance.

It sucks though, it seemed to have strong potential.
FINE

You didn't know who was in it? or you're not familiar with the actors who are in it?  Does that question make sense?

I worded that badly.  LOL  What I meant was, I didn't know which of the many actors in this world were in this series.  Once I started watching it, though, I immediately recognized Steven Weber, Amy Acker, the big gay guy from Lost, and Sam Neill.

So my wife just pointed this out.

The most current issue of TV Guide Magazine (June 21st - July 4th, with the 3 stars of USA shows White Collar, Royal Pains, & Burn Notice on the cover) has a listing of a new episode on Wed June 30th at 10pm.

Show description:
Possible spoiler? Not sure since I'm only on Episode 4 right now.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

I sure hope that's right.  I checked the guide on the tv and it shows a repeat of Castle as of right now for that time slot.  Has anyone heard anything about them airing more episodes?

ABC has aired three episodes since they had the "coming later" instead of "next week on" promos before the show was listed as "not to be renewed".

My DVR autorecorded them, but I am not sure if I should watch them knowing that the show is toast.   I dont want to get even more hooked.

So, should I watch or not?

I kinda felt the same way.  I just started watching it 3 days ago and I'm going to keep going. (Well only 2 left at this point...)

The episodes aired this month were great.  I know the show has been cancelled and we're not getting many answers, if any.  But if you enjoy good acting, snappy dialogue, and some in episode twists and turns (and if you enjoy seeing a woman beat up a raging douchebag) then you'll love the last three episodes.

I'm still loving it.  We won't know until the end if it was worth watching.  I hope they end with some sort of resolution.
