So listening to local sports radio - want to hear Twins talk as they had a great win yesterday and are now 2 games up.

Can I get that though?  No, no, no.  The Vikings played a pointless, meaningless preseason game so that's what everyone is talking about.   Stupid football.

Oh don't I know it - they talk Vikings during Twins pre-game shows on the radio!

Gardy you son-of-a-bitch - how can you pull a guy when he's got a no hitter going!?!?  Pitch count be dammed.

And Rauch gives up a hit.  We'll never know if Slowey could have gotten it.

And Rauch gives up a run.

I'm pissed about that too because if my A's do get no-hit, at least I could claim that the pitcher just had a great game.  Now if they don't get a hit against the bullpen I have to suffer with the fact that the A's suck ass at hitting.

Thank goodness, back to back doubles to make it 4-1.  Now the A's only suck a little bit.

Don't worry, today at least, the Twins are sucking a whole lot more.

And when Slowey doesnt have arm problems and misses the playoffs, you will look back on this moment with fondness.

I kinda feel bad for the Rockies. Way to be one pitch away from a save.

Different sport, same concept...FANTASY FOOTBALL!

Would anybody be interested in joining a RiffTrax Forum fantasy football league? I'd be willing to set it up on ESPN and act as the commish.

If so, post and let me know if your preference is for a live draft or auto-pick. ESPN has drafts all the way up to the start of the season.

Cheers!

EDIT: So as not to clutter the baseball thread, if you're interested in joining a RiffTrax Forum Fantasy Football league, post over in the 2010 football thread: http://forum.rifftrax.com/index.php/topic,18585.msg572994.html#msg572994

Kinda tempting. Although I know next to nothing about football.  (Or hockey really, but I do have a fantasy hockey team every year...)

Francisco Rodriguez needs surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb.
An awful situation just keeps getting worse. He suffered the injury when he punched his girlfriend's father last week. K-Rod is not with the team in Houston, but it's not clear when the surgery will take place. Either way, he's expected to be done for the year. Rodriguez is on tap to make $11.5 million next season and has a $17.5 million vesting option for 2012. It will be interesting to see if the Mets have any recourse here.

Might be time to change my team name to K-Rod's Hissy Fits.

:highfive:

I could watch that clip over and over again.

Reading the game summary I noticed that people are still booing AJ.  What the hell?  He played great for us and we trade him and yet the fans still boo him.
