Nice batting form........ already hits better most middle infielders.

But no headfirst slides!   Teach him the Lou Brock pop up slide to maximize his speed.

Yeah.  He's probably seen THE Dave Roberts steal* a billion times which is where he gets that from.  He's also been doing normal baseball slides, but the headfirst ones work best on the slip & slide.

*Don't think I need to say which one is THE steal.  ;)

Had to get video of his intimidating pre-at-bat ritual.

REESE SMASH!
http://yfrog.com/50pgwlz

Crappy camera phone quality.  I'm surprised I threw them lefty as well as I did.  I haven't thrown left handed in a long time.  (Used to be able to switch throw thanks to hurting my right hand pretty bad when I was a kid.  No real damage done, but I didn't want it to interfere with whiffle ball season so I started throwing lefty.)

Thanks! It's stuff like those moments that makes up for the other half of the time where he's driving me absolutely nuts.  No joke, as I was typing that last sentence he just dove face first into the arm rest of a chair.  *sigh* Ice pack time!

*update* He was "doing a Ninja Warrior course".  Now it makes sense.

Perfectly reasonable.

Our long national nightmare is over.  A-Rod has finally hit #600*.   Now there 3 known cheats in 600 club and ESPN can go back to sucking up to LeBron James.

There's so many reasons to hate A-Rod.

His hamburger helper glove slap while running to first  in the playoffs, the "Got it" or whatever he yelled while running the bases on the pop up against Toronto (I think it was), the crossing the mound against the A's & then being a dick about it saying "That's funny, who is he to tell me what I can't do?", the portrait of him kissing himself in the mirror, the "centaur" painting, etc.

Oh and the PED thing.

And the Yankees.

Having had Tulowitzki out for a good chunk of time, Morneau on the DL, and potentially losing Youk for the season I think it's safe to say I won't be winning in Roto this year.

Hopefully my Head To Head team can manage to hang on for another 5 weeks while I'm throwing out Keppinger & Stubbs on a daily basis.  :speechless:

Oh hey, look who's catching a day game after an extra-inning night game, and his fifth game in a row.  That's right, the next incarnation of Johnny Bench - Drew Butera.  He even managed to climb over the Mendoza Line yesterday.

Christ.  I think Gardy has found his next Punto.
Correction: the coat hanger should be upside down.

Remember k1, things could always be worse. I'm in last place in head-to-head and second to last in roto! I wonder if the fact that I've made the most roster moves in both leagues has anything to do with it?

Patience is not one of my strong suits, and the farther I fall, the more I'm dumpster diving on the waiver wire.

Phillies-Marlins game just had one of the strangest 9th innings I've ever seen.

Top of the 9th Marlins have a 2 run lead, Phillies up, Marlins error gets the lead off runner on, a single, a double, and a single tie the game, still nobody out, then 3 completely brain dead base running mistakes for outs end the inning.  Bottom of the 9th, hit batter, steal, intentional walk, then what should have been the game winning hit down the line is horribly blown by the ump and called fowl....

Ruiz gets a homer in the top of the 10th and it holds up.  He was at the plate in the 9th but never got to swing with the 2 base running blunders for outs that ended the inning.  Man, he has been getting a load of clutch hits this season.

Lidge seems to be almost back to his '08 form, almost always getting the tying run on base but getting out of it most of the time,  he did that a ton in '08 and was so lucky to have that perfect season, not quite the same luck this season but getting better.

So far Oswalt's first 2 games with the Phillies have not been real sharp.

Anyone know if they're going to do another season of The Club next year on MLB Network?  It's pretty interesting so far.

Yep. That's right. I waived Greinke. (PantsParty'10SteveLyonsRevenge)

Feel free to pick him up and watch him get lit up, and as a bonus, pour salt in the wound when he puts in a decent outing and gets no run support!

Best of luck with all that!
