Creepiest. Voice actor. Ever!

Is it just me or was the voice of the narrator / tree incredibly creepy? It had this Hannibal Lecter / Peter-Lorre-as-M quality that sent shivers down my spine; that's no tree I'd leave my children alone with, if you get my drift.

The content of his speech also didn't help much - he was this stunted, small, dwarfish pine, never had a real chance in life, now destined to die in a matter of weeks, and he was happy about it!

I got a creepy vibe, too. Good thing he was so small and of no account, or I might not have gotten to sleep that night.

It's not hard to envision the guy repeating, "No snow on my branches" to himself, as he methodically saws the limbs off his most recent victim.
