The title basically says it all; I'm planning to host a RiffTrax night on my college campus and have been working with some of the behind-the-scenes guys at RiffTrax. My school has the ability to get the rights to show a theatrically-released movie and I'm trying to figure out which would be better to show (per RiffTrax's recommendations); Twilight or 300? Anyone out there have an opinion on which would be better? (I've seen and absolutely loved the Twilight riff and will be watching 300 tonight, but I'd love some veteran recommendations).

Thanks in advance for the help!

Clint
P.S. Anyone around the Monterey Bay area interested in coming? It'd be a totally free event which us college kids love :-D

"Twilight" fer shure.  Esp if it's an outdoor event.  I just like to imagine fans off in the distance attracted by the screen only to get there and hear it ripped apart.  Hahaha!

Both of them are great tracks, if you're worried about offending anyone I'd defiantly go with Twilight since 300 has a lot of violence, nudity, explicit sex, rape and so forth, but on a collage campus that might not be a concern at all.

Psh, this kinda stuff is actually taught in college these days...

And I also forgot to mention that we could also show any of the DVDs in the official RiffTrax collection (Plan 9, House on Haunted Hill, etc). Any of those beat out Twilight or the other flicks you all recommended?

(Thanks for the help, by the way :-D)

Hmm, if I'd pick any of the Rifftrax DVDs in this case, it would be the live version of Plan 9, actually seeing the riffers might help newcomers get the concept, especially if they came in part way through, and you get a short with it so extra bonus.  Not sure if I'd say that beats Twilight though.

Regardless of when it actually launches, the day has arrived, or as the tagline goes: THE HUNT IS ON! I’ve made it through months of waiting, I think I might servive a few more hours if I absolutely have to.

I meant the riff!  THE RIFF, NOT THE MOVIE!

Just in case there was any confusion on that. Wink

If you think anyone in the audience might be experimenting in the "Chemical Wonderland", Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory could be a good choice.  Or even straight it's a new look at an old "friend".

Besides, you can point out that Neil Patrick Harris is one of the riffers - always helps to have a recognizable name.

Twilight and The Room..

I second this. The Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's of the RiffTrax catalog.
