Sigh. If a comedy is written well enough, some episodes or a season taking place in a dream state can be pulled off for a short time. But we've already seen Dreamland and ultimately the events of Archer's dream have no impact on his fictional little world, so it makes me feel like the writers have written themselves into a corner or something and have no idea what to do next. It just comes down to this, events in a dream lessen the overall dramatic impact, and even though the show is still a comedy, there was some very dramatic elements in this past season.

Actually, it sounds like they originally planned out a final season, then had an idea for two more seasons, which would appear to be the dream seasons.  So basically, it seems it was a way to give themselves two more seasons.  Which would bother me if it wasn't for the fact that last season was fun and the cast is still at the top of their game.  Plus, the next season is inspired by 1930's adventure films, which is up my alley.

Well, I did like Dreamland's comedy, so I guess we'll just have to wait and see. Part of me still just feels irritated about the whole situation though.

I'm really hoping the theme song will feature the lyrics "Highway to... the... Danger Island".

One of those shows I prefer to binge watch. Not sure I'll be able to hold off watching until the entire season ends, but will probably wait until I can watch at least 3 or 4 at once.

Watched the season premier this morning on FXX (cause I don't have the channel and I couldn't find it anywhere online) while they gave me a free hour to watch and it was pretty funny overall :D :D
Went searching for the episode to see if it was available on YouTube or DailyMotion and nothing but fictitious videos >:( Toonova had the episode but it was missing the first 2-3 minutes of the beginning..
Decided to buy the episode for $1.99 on YouTube and tried to download it with the YouTube Downloader but Nope, guess that's not allowed :-\
I'm sure it will eventually show up where I can download it and watch it whenever I want.

I kinda lost interest in Archer after they just straight up gave up on any kind of ongoing continuity. I know, silly to care about plot in a show like this.

I get it. I'm still laughing, so I'm still watching, but I really hope we get some in-continuity episodes before this last season is over
