Return of the Jedi .riff file?
« on: January 22, 2010, 04:30:26 PM »

I see there's currently no .riff file for Return of the Jedi.  Is one coming soon?  If not, why not?  I just bought the rifftrax and borrowed the DVD and am jonesing to watch it and would prefer not to have to lug my other computer into the living room to do so.   ;D

I saw it mentioned in another thread (I believe the 20 questions thread) that its still being worked on, but no guaruntees, I guess sometimes they prove impossible due to the discs.

Hopefully there will be one next week.  We are training a new person to make them.  But it is true that not every disc will work with the player.  You should always check the product page to see if a .riff file is available as there are several movies that don't have one, and many newer movies appear to be incompatible.

Thanks for the response!  I found an old version of Sharecrow that worked well enough to manually synch it.  :)

Mine did drift a bit, so I do hope there's a .riff version available soon.

Good to hear they are working on a .riff file, I thought since they are no longer supporting the player that they would quit making the .riff files also.

Hope the new player comes out soon, something went funny on my reauther of this one, everything is synced up fine but rejig must have done something to the DVD files to make them play at a faster rate, so it was like watching with the fast forward set to 1.2X...  Will try making another one using NeroVision...
