10. Spider-Man
The lame acting in Uncle Ben's death scene never fails to make me laugh.
9. SWAT
The riff in Daredevil reminded me of this stupid film. It'd be a good followup.
8. Zoolander
I was actually forced to watch this during a school break one day. I don't think I've ever been happier to hear a school bell ring. Ben Stiller playing an even bigger idiot and all the godawful 80's songs thrown in just made it even more painful.
7. Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!! Do I need to say more? Besides, we still need a prequel that actually has Hayden.
6. Die Another Day
Invisible cars, evil Englishmen who are actually Korean criminals bent on world domination, and surfing secret agents. If that doesn't make a Bond film worthy of a Rifftrax, I don't know what well.
5. Any of the Mission Impossible movies
Tom Cruise. Tom Cruise. And Tom Cruise. Take your pick.
4. Batman Begins
Christian Bale's "chainsmoker" Batman voice would make a riffing quite entertaining.
3. Super Mario Bros.
We need a Dennis Hopper movie here somewhere, so why shouldn't it be the film that deficates the most beloved video game character of all time?
2. Buffy the Vampire Slayer
Before the TV show with the Grudge girl, before the spinoff with the guy from Bones, we had this interesting little film that starred Kirsty Swanson, best known for her moving performances in films such as Dude, Where's My Car and Hot Shots. I don't need much more explanation here.
And speaking of movies with John Cryer, the no. 1 movie I'd love to see have a Rifftrax is.....
1. Superman IV: The Quest for Peace
I actually hate the original two "classics" far more, but the last of the Christopher Reeve movies is so incredibly cheesy and ridiculous, it'd be perfect material! And since it was recently released on DVD only a few months ago, it's pretty easy to pick up! What's not to make fun of? There's the laughably low budget, from the visible strings in all the flying scenes to the cheap stock footage, the fact that the film blatantly rips off scenes and lines from the first two Superman films, hilarious inconsistencies like Lex Luthor cutting a piece of Superman's hair with a regular pair of scissors, Superman speaking in Italian and Russian, the villain who looks like a reject from the Masters of the Universe movie, and John Cryer with a mohawk. Sounds like a winner to me.
If any of your top 10 winds up actually getting a Rifftrax, bold the title!
UPDATE: After waiting about nearly 3/4 of a year, not one but two of my top 10 most wanted finally get commentaries! Now I'm hoping Mike and co. will eventually do some DC movies too.... Nuclear Man really needs it coming!
