I wonder if Mike and the gang know that alot of there fan base are also comic book fans. Not to mention fans of other franchise. I havent seen Daredevil with the Rifftrax yet. But after reading the part on the catalog page about us being responsible for Daredevil being made. I had to roll my eyes. Daredevil isnt a cinematic masterpiece. But there are far worst movies out there and the Directors Cut was pretty damn good with or without affleck. Personally i didnt like X-men because the jokes where pretty lame. I mean they didnt even recognize Stan Lee when made his cameo.

Well, judging by this poll, (whose accuracy is entirely questionable) either most fans are not fans of comic books, or they agree that this was not a great film, or they just like seeing anything riffed.
I'd fall into the third category. Really the riffs weren't aimed too much on the comic book thing this time around. There was the poking fun at the costumes, but there was no way they were gonna let that go untouched. Most of the riffs were more story and actor oriented, which is where they belong. :^)

I have a feeling that's not going to be the case for Battlefield Earth.  Let's just hope no one here is into scientology, for more than just that reason.

P.S.  My spell check tells me I should capitalize scientology, but ya know what?  I'm not going to.  So there.

Nah, Scientologists aren't allowed to browse online forums. Too many Thetans abound.   ;)

Dont get be wrong i dont have anything against seeing the Theatrical cut of daredevil being done. Its not as good as the Directors cut and is somewhat subpar. Its nice to know they make fun of the movie itself and not so much the whole "I dont get comics" thing. Which i found a very annoying in X-men.

P.s. did they make any good jokes about Colin Farrell. I know alot people dont like Affleck. But its Farrell i cant stand.

Now that ive seen it. I have to agree with starfighter to some extent. I found only about 60% of the Rifftrax to be funny. I really didnt care for most of the Ben Affleck jokes. Not to mention the "we dont get comics" and why is he wearing a this stupid costumes. I dont know maybe Because its a comic book movie, HELLO. I mean the character in comics has had a costume just like it for 30 years. Not to mention that Daredevil is a very intresting character. Overall it was mostly funny and better then X-men. But it still far from holding the top spot for best Rifftrax for me.  That still goes to Road House and Crossroads. Maybe Battlefield Earth will be better.

I agree with Mike.  Just because a character has been wearing a costume for 30 years does not make it any less silly.

I think that all comes down to prospective. To someone who dosnt care, It silly. To someone who dose, its tradition. Anyways for me Daredevil without a costume is like a car without wheels. But it dosnt bug me that much that they made fun of it. I just had to get it off my chest. Anyways like i said before it wasnt a bad rifftrax and it was very funny. But i just dont think it was all that great. I give it a 6. But anyways thats just my opinion.

P.s. i like that they recognized Stan Lee this time.

The support for the extended, director's cut edition of Daredevil did finally convince me to order a copy of it.  I fear no Coolio. Hell, I'd rather watch most rappers act than have to listen to their music.

FBX, does your question, "Dirk Diggler?" mean you haven't seen Boogie Nights?

I gave it a 9 soley because of the Tom Waits impersonation... Other than that I only found it pretty good, didn't like it really as much as Star Trek V, but Bill Corbett was really on in this one

This is my first Rifftrax, and I'm late to this forum topic, but I have to chime in.  I really loved this one.  I'm actually a fan of the movie, or rather was until Mike and the guys pointed out some appallingly bad film making that I didn't notice for whatever reason the first time through.  (All the flyovers for instance.)  I don't really understand the complaints about them just "not getting" comic books.  I don't know what jokes they were referring to.  To me, this one is top notch.  Felt like home again.  I can't wait to watch my next one!

And here's to reviving old threads! I just watched this over the weekend and have to say it's my favorite so far (but my collection of trax is still small, only 4 including this one). It was just excellent and it was cool to hear them all together again.

Another one from the vault that I finally got around to....  or back too... I had watched bits and pieces of this one before, but never all of it in one sitting.

This was pretty funny stuff. As far as the "three man booths", this is the high point so far. Much better than Battlefield Earth and slightly ahead of ST6 due to more big belly laughs. They really piled onto Affleck and to a lesser degree Affleck/Garner as a couple. I don't think either of them have what it takes to sustain the comedy impact through such a consistent riffing as say Shatner, Travolta, Keanu  or Colin Ferrell. In that regard, along with them seeming to take a comic book movie more seriously than it should be taken at times... I thought the track occasionally veered into "beating the dead horse" territory... but nothing that distracted from the overall funny. Corbett was in top form, easily his best Rifftrax turn to date. 9/10

Lets see, it's got Ben Afleck, Colin Farrell chewing scenery in Shatnerian fashion, Ben Afleck in leather bondage gear, Kevin singing "Oops, I Did It Again", a Kevin Smith cameo filled with insults and references, and, oh yeah, Ben "Gigli" "Pearl Harbor" Friggin' Afleck.

Ummm...  Hell Yes!
