Getting a LOT of 10s. I'm still weighing this against Matrix, but I might just have to say, "Best Rifftrax Ever." Not bad for the first traditional trax of the year. :^)

I gave it an 8.

It didn't have the convulsion-inducing laughs like the best ones had...

but it had all three riffers for the first time,

and Bill Corbett was in absolute TOP FORM!

I know it's because I think this is a pretty respectable comic book movie, but I think the guys pretty much phoned this one in.  A good 75% of the riffs come down to: We don't like comic books and we hate/loathe/despise Ben Affleck.
There is definitely some bad CGI in this one, but the chemistry between Affleck and Garner seems genuine, even with the knowledge of their future marriage at hand.  Of course, that will all blow up in my face in they split up anytime soon.
Kevin Smith's cameo was interesting, since he was writing the DD comic at the time.  It's always nice to spot Stan Lee in a Marvel movie (this time even earning a short riff from Kevin)  but I still need to go back and pinpoint Frank Miller's cameo, apparently as a dead body.
I'm hoping for better from the FilmCrew for Battlefield: Earth and Hollywood After Dark.  Rue McClanahan, stripping!  I suppose she stops short from showing off her golden girls, but it should still be fun.

Really? I liked Daredevil and I'm one of the people who thought Ep 1 was too harsh, but this one seemed about right. Lot of scene-specific riffing and a lot less "We don't get comics!" than X-Men had.

I wonder if Mike and the gang know that alot of there fan base are also comic book fans. Not to mention fans of other franchise. I havent seen Daredevil with the Rifftrax yet. But after reading the part on the catalog page about us being responsible for Daredevil being made. I had to roll my eyes. Daredevil isnt a cinematic masterpiece. But there are far worst movies out there and the Directors Cut was pretty damn good with or without affleck. Personally i didnt like X-men because the jokes where pretty lame. I mean they didnt even recognize Stan Lee when made his cameo.

The "Excelsior!" comment when he appeared was a Stan Lee reference.

He's talking about the X-Men 'trax. Gotta admit, I didn't catch him in X-Men. Where was he?

I think in X-Men, Stan Lee is in that onlooking crowd on the beach as mutant Sen. Kelly walks out of the sea.

Well, judging by this poll, (whose accuracy is entirely questionable) either most fans are not fans of comic books, or they agree that this was not a great film, or they just like seeing anything riffed.

I'd fall into the third category. Really the riffs weren't aimed too much on the comic book thing this time around. There was the poking fun at the costumes, but there was no way they were gonna let that go untouched. Most of the riffs were more story and actor oriented, which is where they belong. :^)

I have a feeling that's not going to be the case for Battlefield Earth.  Let's just hope no one here is into scientology, for more than just that reason.

P.S.  My spell check tells me I should capitalize scientology, but ya know what?  I'm not going to.  So there.
