I heard about that on their commentary. I'd love to see some of their old stuff (particularly the one they used to get financing for Evil Dead)

It is called Within the Woods. It was supposed to be on one of the many releases of Evil Dead (another one just came out Tuesday) and it has never materialized. First it was supposedly due to music rights, all of their shorts they used whatever music they wanted to, then it just came down to Sam not wanting to release it.

Sorry for the delayed responding to this thread.  It took a LOT longer for my copy of the film to arrive and I wasn't going to look at the related threads til I'd seen/heard the RiffTrax.

Are you referring to the dozen scenes of people vomiting stuff?

That vomit was totally going over your head.

Actually, it wasn't over our heads, it was pretty much in our faces... (and dripping off our chins...  and squishing between our toes...).

spoiler in the true sense of the word, but for minor events:
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

[I, like Thrifty, don't care for horror/'splatter' movies... as opposed to horror/'monster' movies, which are usually fun.  I made the mistake of thinking this would be somehow different... maybe along the lines of Army of Darkness, which was far more comedic than horrific.  I should have realized that it was being compared to the first two Evil Dead films and therefore left it alone.]

that goat was quite possibly the greatest thing I've ever seen ever. There should have been more of it
 ;D

Possibly it'll be the star of the aquatic Drag Me to Hell 2: Sheep's Ahoy!

Final Destination as I recall ended with one of the three survivors in France, thinking they were out of the woods, getting crushed by a neon sign.

Not true. He was still alive when the film ended. And comics have taught me that if I don't see a body he's not really dead.

That's true: I've seen a lot of stand-ups and regardless how bad their jokes are, that's been the case.

Wow, I LOVED this movie!

I really enjoy Sam Raimi films and this had everything that I like about his movies.   Interesting plot, good acting job by the leads, over the top action/effects and twists.

It was a fun good time.   I can see how it will be a good riff and I will watch the riff either tonight or tomorrow.

The ending was kind of a downer, great twist, but downer.   I resolved it in my mind by re-writing the movie in my mind so she gave the old woman the button and not the coin.   So, I got a happy ending.

The poster spoiling the ending did not really as if you had not seen the movie yet, you would just think it was an artistic cover and not part of hte movie.   The only ones who realized it was a spoiler poster were those that had seen the movie.

Really liked it!

But there was no twist.  Christine switching the envelopes was broadcast a mile away.  A twist would have been if she'd actually made it.

Well yeah, when there was a big deal made of her boyfriend putting the coin in the envelope early in the movie, I knew that would come back somehow.

Loved the talking goat!

The ending could have been fixed if she had just said three little words to her boyfriend

Well, I wondered, now he is the owner, right? So won't the Lamia come after him?
