I learned that doctors routinely leave half-full syringes of poison just lying around on their tables. I also learned that there are insanity causing drugs that work in an instant and cause their victims to narrate the whole process.
Randomly inserting pseudo-medical lecture slides do not make a movie more interesting, instructive or scientifically valid.
Handing someone a loaded revolver, hoping they will shoot themselves because you asked them to (so you can try out your untested experimental dead-people-reviving thingy on them) rarely works as intended and has predictable consequences.

That movie did make me lament the fact that I dont have a basement in my house in Houston.   I could bury people behind walls, have plump matrons fight to the death..... oh the possibilities.

(* I admit it's probably an obscure reference but if you've ever heard that god-awful radio commercial for those kits where the Mom rattles off a list of things to her kid.....I listen to a radio stream with a live blog that runs that and we're always wondering WTF?)

I also learned that this movie is what proved the axiom "show, don't tell". Seriously, these text interludes are ridiculous. I particularly like the one about Paranoiac that says that this is a serious disease, moments after the CAT EYE POPPING SCENE!
