I learned that in the future all disagreements...ALL disagreements... will be settled by everybody beating the crap out of each other.
Nah...that was the original..

Although....

I learned about thirty-five minutes in that Forklifts are alive and well in The Future!  And not the floating kind one would have imagined.  So a potent weapon is still available.  That said anti-gravity seems to be reliable enough that transports fly over crowds of people who seem totally unconcerned that tons of machinery are floating maybe ten feet above their heads.
And I'm worse than Hitler.

I learned that in the future, you'll find "Beastie Boys" in the classical music section(If it's anything like Futurama)

I learned that there are some pretty steep ass canyons in Iowa

I learned that the song "Spock Funk" is pretty darn catchy.

I learned that Scottie can get a uniform asap but Kirk needs to hang out in his rebellious "black" till the end.

I learned that Hollywood is now looking to my age group to cast for character's "parents".

Wow...changing the timeline even did that?

I think it's more likely that that's where they mined the magical stuff that's allowing them to build Constitution-class heavy cruisers on the ground in Iowa and then get them off the planet in one piece.

I learned that Delta Vega is close enough to Vulcan for marooned Spock to watch the destruction of his homeworld.  With his naked eyes.

So that's pretty close then.
