2 Different DVDs

It seems that there are two different DVDs:

2) http://www.amazon.com/Footloose-Special-Collectors-Kevin-Bacon/dp/B0002JP4L4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1257556432&sr=8-1

I own #1 and it was a little off sync and didn't work for me (and looking at Amazon it looks like it's out of print for the most part) so I went out and got #2 and it works fine. Just a heads up for everyone else. I believe #2 is the Netflix version as well.

Oh for God's sake, are there ANY DVDs without disparate versions out there?  Remember when this wasn't a problem?  Footloose?  A cheesy 1984 teen movie?  FOOTLOOSE?  *destroys universe*

I think, as a rule of thumb, if you see ANY movie that says "special" or "collector's", don't use it.

But the Special Collector's Edition is the one that works

I went to Blockbuster today, and they have two. One is the Special Collector's one, the other says "discontinued" on the side.  Good thing I chose the collector's one.

I'm using the Netflix version, so it is good to know it will work when I watch it tonight.

I used the same and it worked fine.
