Does anyone actually like Tom Sawyer? I always skip it when it comes up on my player. The real question is, why don't I just delete it? Maybe subconsiously I really like Tom Sawyer...or at least the first 5 seconds of it.

I used to love it, back when the album came out.  But like so many popular tunes, radio play has killed the enjoyment for me.

I love Rush, especially the fly by night album (except rivendell) but they make me feel like an extreme nerd. As for Tom Sawyer, I always find myself habitually air drumming to that song, even when there's company, because it rocks my socks off. Any thoughts on Red Barchetta? Another air drum fav, thanks Neal Peart, god among men.
He split Robin's arrow in twain!!

Indeed.  Although, as the band's lyricist, he's also the one most responsible for making you feel like a dork.
