Constance in 3 movies Thursday 10/22 on TCM

  Who is Constance Bennett?  I've only seen her in Topper, but I ran across a listing for three of her movies running on TCM this Thursday morning.  While I will probably forget all about this that morning, here's the titles (all times CDT.)  At 5:30 am it's  Sin Takes a Holiday from 1932 with Basil Rathbone.  Bed of Roses from 1933 follows at 7:00 am, costarring Joel McCrea.  Those two are listed as dramas with the final movie at 8:15 am being a comedy, Merrily We Live from 1938.  Will she apply makeup in any of these movies?  We can only watch and hope.

   Sin Takes a Holiday at least has a catchy title.

   I love those old movies where it seems like everybody should have servants.   I saw pieces of all three movies and she looked great in all three.
 Between the movies in 1932 and 1938, did Americans or just Constance discover that she had breasts?  It's weird to see how de-emphasized that whole area of her body was in Sin Takes a Holiday but by the later film, Merrily We Live,  the clothes finally gave her a bustline.  That movie was the best of the three for me.  If you liked  You Can't Take It With You with Jean Arthur and Jimmy Stewart, you would probably enjoy Merrily We Live.
