I learned that...
...before taking on characteristics of classic Chinese New Year's dragons (as the baby Goo-Goo-ie did at the end), huge snakes can be referred to as 'dragons' by the uninformed.
...huge snakes either have horrific eyesight, or superb senses of smell, because it would be unable to see its target right in front of it, but it would pop its nose into multiple places the target had JUST left, while 'looking' for the target (e.g. coffee house).
...despite a huge snake being able to outmaneuver Army helicopters and easily keep up with cars, it isn't able to manage to catch two 20-year-olds when they are on foot.  [Note to self: if ever chased by a huge snake, RUN, don't try to take a vehicle... you'll be fine that way.]
...sane people getting straightjacketed and locked in mental hospitals is funny(?) despite it ruining their lives.
...snakes will eat and wontonly* kill most every witness in front of them, unless the snake's being seen by the witness results in a situation that is supposedly humorous (see 'learned item' just above).
...just as they kept telling me in Dinotopia, people actually DID ride dinosaurs in the past.
and
...just because the Korean's have caught up with the ability to make high-tech items (e.g. graphics-rendering computers), doesn't mean they know what to do with them now that they have them.

I learned that a South Korean ex-comedian makes a more enjoyable Hollywood blockbuster than Michael Bay. Granted this is a marginal victory, but still...

I learned that a giant snake demon thing can run amok in LA for a surprisingly long time before drawing any attention.

I learned that thousands of innocent bystanders and military personnel dying is fine, but the death of one girl that would stop even more deaths, would be a tragedy.

Yeah, after the second or so office building full of people being shown gloriously incinerating I started feeling uncomfortable, like I'm watching someone's revenge fantasy or a fetish I don't fully understand. Did the people who made this movie have an axe to grind with Californians?

I learned that movies made in the United States, with it's large English speaking population, and have a large chunk of it spoken in another language will NOT have hard subtitles, meaning that if you don't realize a good 20 minutes, and the entire backstory will have the dialogue spoken in Korean that you will fail to turn on the subtitles and therefore miss out on pretty much the entire reason these things are happening.
I survived the San Diego Comic Con 2010 Hall H stabbing.

actually you really don't learn why anything is happening. Its sort of like listening to a person with a mental disability describe a dream they had last night. It still really doesn't make sense.

I noticed that too on the first viewing.  It took a few minutes to realize that there was a large swath of dialogue I couldn't understand.  Then I had to redo my reauthor.  Thank God someone else extracted the SRT file before I did.

I learned that Dragons waste a lot of time screaming instead of eating their intended victims

I learned that our hero needs to lay off the Diazepam

I learned that this was the longest video game cut scene EVER.  Wait...it was a MOVIE?  Dear god... :o
