What I don't like about the death scene is that they're making fun of a premise they created entirely in their heads, except for the one shot of Neo first feeling the metal rods. It's not as if this was something happening in the movie that they had to address constantly. And it's not that I don't like the joke, or even that it goes on for too long. But rather that there are so many other jokes they could make about her death scene that are inherent, like the fact that she talks through her death more than Yoda. They only tacked on a Hamlet reference at the end, which to me is more absurd than making a Ghost and Mrs. Muir reference. But not as absurd as mocking an event that they envisioned for five minutes.
On the whole, I didn't feel like the movie lent itself to riffing. Half the movie is constant talking and people saying "what?" and the other half is constant action. It's generally too repetitive and not nearly ridiculous enough to mock. Like most bad movies. That's just my first impression. Not sure how I'll feel about it the second time.
