Back in 2000 or 2001 when the Frog Brigade was at it's best, Les Claypool released a live cover of "Animals" under the title "Set Two".... It's definitely worth checking out, I actually like it more than the original
Sweeet!
Animals was Excellent, and Sounds like its remake would be interesting to hear!
It really is.... It's got such a full and intense sound , and even though I've been weary of Les lately, he's still one of the most powerful bassists around
Line up is Les Claypool bass/vocals, Todd Huth guitar/vocals(?), Eenor guitar, Jeff Chiamanti keys, Jay Lane drums, and Skerik saxophonics for what it's worth... unfortunately not much sax on the album so he doesn't get to do much (though he gets to freak out on Crimson's "Thela Hun Ginjeet", Floyd's "Shine On You Crazy Diamond", and a number of Claypool songs on "Set One")............ but yeah, if you know who these musicians are then you know they're great at what they do, Jeff Chiamanti and Jay Lane are both members of Bob Weir's Ratdog and have been for years, and I think Jeff was even the keyboardist for The Dead when they did that tour in 2004
