[Pak-Man]

Nintendo just did its delayed direct. There were many awesome announcements. The ones that stuck out to me:

Luigi's Mansion 3
Isabelle is joining the Smash roster.
Diablo 3 with Gannendorf armor
Joycons that are pretty much NES controllers, for playing the retro games that will come with the online service
A boatload of Final Fantasy, including remasters of Final Fantasy VII, IX, X, and X2. (Don't know why they skipped 8, but who has time for 8?)
New Animal Crossing for Switch in 2019!

EDIT: Oh and Civilization VI for Switch, but we already knew that.

This was a truely excellent direct, but I must admit I was hoping for Endless Ocean 3 since we got a little bit of a tease when they applied for the trademark last month.

Nintendo just shot a load of RPG heroin into the arms of every RPG fan with that direct. There was something for everyone.

Also I find it interesting that Isabelle is going to be a newcomer. She seems like a clone in the Falcons sense of things. I don't know. Don't care either, my girl is coming home.

Somewhat different, but still in the same vein, like Falco and Wolf were. I don't know, it's really hard to get a feel for all the character's moves from a 30 second play clip. I'm hyped as hell, anyway.

No D&D Tower of Doom or Shadow over Mystara? Those were, by far, the best Capcom beat'em ups. Also no Cadillacs & Dinosaurs or AvP.

I'm guessing the common theme is that these were all licensed properties that they didn't want to renew the rights too.
