Divinity II is going to have a GM mode, turning it into a virtual pen and paper RPG. It sounds pretty cool, as it's focused on letting the GM quickly adapt to whatever mischief the players decide to get up to. The map sizes are small and there's no scripting, so the GM isn't expected to build a whole video game like other RPGs with a similar feature. It just provides virtual tools and sets to create quick environments, plus the combat rule set that's already built in. Though the GM can override any stats or numbers if he feels like it. Sounds like a really cool tool for creating some fun stories with friends.

Now all I need are some friends.

During my grade school days, I always felt out of place. I had no hope against the athletic types, even though I towered over them. And I was smarter the most of the smart kids. Video gamers were where I found my niche. Been doing it ever since. Yet I've always wondering what it would have been like if I had gotten into P&P D&D.

If you ever get this going, count me in  :highfive:

Hey yeah!  Maybe we could get a Rifftrax game going. In high school I had two groups that I would play D&D with.  When it was at its best, it was an amazing way to tell a story, like nothing else I know. It's a story where those experiencing it truly get to participate and shape the story, more than any video game ever could.

The game doesn't seem to have a hard release date yet, just sometime this year. I loved the first one so I'm sure I'll get this one too. I'll keep you posted. If we could get two more people to play on weekends I think that'd be enough. I've tried a couple times with only two players and one GM and it never worked that well. Three people makes a better party for a variety of reasons.

So, Remedy has lost the rights to some of the music in Alan Wake. As a result, the game is being pulled from all digital stores on the 15th. But until then, both Steam and GoG (and the various other stores like BundleStar, Humble, GG, GMG etc.) have the game at 90% off. Please note that most stores will still allow you to download a purchased title after it has been pulled from the store, but if you're being paranoid, go ahead and download now.

Also note that AW: American Nightmare is likely not being pulled from any stores as Remedy did not license that music in the same manner.

The creator of Parappa the Rapper is trying to kickstart a new rap game inspired by Epic Rap Battles of History.

That's brilliant, actually. A not-insignificant portion of internet fandom will pay big bucks to make their dreams come true. Then along come the paid costume packs... Don't know if it'll make for a good game, but I imagine it will do very well in sales.

Tyrant? You still with us? You might want to hide Pak's Wallet.

Bandai Namco Turning To Kickstarter To Fund New Pac-Man Video Game

Seriously. Hide the wallet and change the bank account password.

Well, my first reaction is: "Why does Namco need to turn to crowdfunding to support a Pac-Man game? It's not like it's a longshot..."

My second and third reaction are: "But what can I get for backing it and where did my wallet go!?"

I think Bandai-Namco doesn't quite "get" Kickstarter.

"Hi, we're a multi billion dollar corporation, and we want free money to make another Pac-Man game."

Remember, Namco created Pac-Man, Bandai created Gundam, and Bandai-Namco owns Dark Souls. They're not hurting for money in any conceivable way.

Seems like a cheap way to get fans to spend money on pure nostalgia while dodging the "you're ruining my childhood!!!!" meltdowns.

If they show a mostly finished game when they launch the kickstarter, that's one thing. But if they just show concepts and talk a lot about wanting to listen to the fans, I'd be wary. "Hey, remember this thing you liked as a kid?  Wasn't it cool?  Give me money because you remembered it."

And the Kickstarter is live and it's... Pac-Man sculptures.

Yes, that middle one is to scale. It's a gallery sized piece.

It's about 2 grand away from being funded only a few hours in, so little danger on this one but, yeah, I can see why Bandai decided to make a KS for this project as it's not really in their wheel house. But keep hiding Pak's wallet.

Oh, so they're not actually making a game at all. I guess that makes a little bit more sense.

Who Killed 'Mass Effect Andromeda'? The Bumble And The Backlash
https://nowloading.co/p/mass-effect-andromeda-bumble-backlash/4276838

sad but very true.
Cervantes smiled Spain's chivalry away;
A single laugh demolished the right arm
Of his own country; — seldom since that day
Has Spain had heroes.

where did all the happy endings go?, where could all the good times be.

This news came out in May, but is resurfacing now at E3 too, for some reason.  Harvest Moon:A Light of Hope, will be coming out on the Switch, the PS4 and the PC. This is the game's first appearance on the PC. I'm guessing the success of Stardew Valley convinced the developers that there might be a market for  Harvest off console.

Hey, let's not have my text in 2 point font there, okay?
