A little bit of news about the new Xbox 1 small model. Apparently it has no Kinect connection on the back.



Most people will in fact be happier by this news, but if you're actually planning on using the Kinect, you'll need a USB dongle.

Not sure if I like the new take on Zelda, but I have a feeling I'm going to spend a good chunk of my life finding out.

The last two console Zeldas didn't blow me away, so I am excited that it looks like it might be a different feeling game.

With the recent trend of remastering video games to work with the current generation, one of the things that happens is those remasters have to get an ESRB rating. Well, Destructoid just noticed that Marvel Ultimate Alliance 1 & 2 have gotten rated for current gen systems, so a remaster of that pair of games might be in the works. Which is good as the MUA games were the last set of console games to operate under the "Sure, use any Marvel characters you want" policy rather than the current "Don't  lessen the purity of our license with those foul Fox owned characters" policy.

They're doing an Iron Maiden video game featuring Eddie.

It's on mobile, so I don't have very high hopes for it.

Well, Mighty No. 9 is out.

I won't comment on gameplay. I didn't back the KS or buy it and have no attachment to the Megaman franchise. But I will relate this:

The end credits are 4 hours long. I'm serious.

(Why? Well, all 67k backers are listed, so it takes a while. But it's still 4 hours long.)

Why not comment on gameplay?  I backed the kickstarter and I haven't even downloaded the game yet considering the demo was so bland.  Maybe if I'm real bored someday I will.  But that doesn't look likely with all the games I just picked up from Steam's summer sale.

Well aside from the whole "I'm not emotionally invested in this, so I don't feel a sense of betrayal or excitement or disappointment" thing, I won't comment on the gameplay because  I haven't personally played it. I just noted that to let folks waiting for the "Mighty No 9 disappointment train" that it wasn't stopping at that station.
