Tried out steam's in-home-streaming. It allows you to install a game on your super powerful gaming PC, but play it on your weak little home theater PC while sitting on your couch, or even your laptop, as long as both are connected to the same network and running steam.

It works quite well actually, after I changed a couple settings. Was able to play skyrim and the new devil may cry as if my gaming rig was in my living room. Arkham Origins worked too, but it was just a little choppy, not bad though.

More characters for Smash announced- Captain Falcon, to no one's surprise, and Robin and Lucinda from Fire Emblem. This prompted the following tweet:



On the one hand, when Nintendo is making fun of you, you're pretty much on the wrong side of an issue.

On the other hand, Ubi's one of the few companies still making WiiU games, Nintendo. When the Vita has more games in the pipeline than the WiiU does, perhaps it's not a good idea to antagonize one of your few remaining vendors.

Well, actually, Ubisoft has been a butt about their future Wii U support, going as far as to say that they are sitting on a finished Wii U game and telling Nintendo they won't release it until Nintendo expands the user base.

I say this without hyperbole: If Nintendo were the only company making games for the Wii U, I'd still consider the Wii U to be worth every penny. I know that's not the best business model, and it won't earn the trust of Nintendo's investors back, but looking back through my Wii library- even going back to my Gamecube library- it was all about the first party games.

If you're referring to Lucina, considering how Marth played in the Invitational and the MASSIVE nerfs they gave him(judged from that), as long as she's got more punch, I'm perfectly fine with it. Also, SO glad that The People's Champion is back for another run.

Also, talking about the WiiU's success, Nintendo's strategy since the Wii has generally been one of let's produce a bunch of games on our system to get a bunch of developers excited to put games on our platform to boost sales. They've sunk a LOT of money into it, and it's paid off with both the Wii and the 3DS, but it's kind of flopped with the WiiU. I think Smash will prompt a HUGE number of people to purchase WiiU's, though, especially since the competitive smash scene is coming back in a big way.

The question I have is, haven't those people already bought a WiiU? If they're that die-hard into a Nintendo franchise, then surely they would have got one already.

I know at least 3 people who have told me they're going to get a WiiU when the new Smash happens. For me personally, I can't see myself purchasing one. I haven't seen the allure of Nintendo's franchises since the Gamecube. Neither Twilight Princess or Skyward Sword were good enough to make me want to continue playing. I've never been into the Metroid games, Mario's kind of meh for me these days, and the last decent Star Fox was 64. Not saying they're bad games(Except Skyward Sword... dem controls and pretty boring gameplay), butthey're just not my cup of tea. If I had the money to blow on a WiiU+Smash, though, I might do it.
