I've heard speculation that it was probably a separate announcement because Tencent wanted it to be.

I have to admit, I am pretty underwhelmed by the announcement.

I don't think it's too early for the next Let's Go announcement at all - there's a mainline game every year these days, and this year it's two expansions instead (which is my preference! Not a complaint!). I'm hoping the next Let's Go isn't going to be on ice till Christmas next year!

The funny thing is the Pokemon Snap reveal ended up being the bigger announcement.

Rogue Legacy 2! Just found out about this today. Loved the first game. Early Access starts July 23rd.
