The answer is yes.  Very clearly.  Also, is this news?  Because this kind of shit seems as old as stupid guys.

Well it's not like there's a General Game Thoughts thread.

There are sects of Lego fans that will gripe about non-standard pieces and scale and such, but my son loves to build Mario levels with his Legos NOW. Having an official Lego Mario with official Mario set pieces that can collect coins and everything will be a dream come true for him.

When I first heard there was a LEGO Mario thing going on, I assumed it'd be standard minifigures (except Bowser and probably Yoshi) and themed sets.
This looks pretty interesting, some kind of NFC-enabled Mario Maker But With LEGOs situation.

I'm pretty disappointed. In between the announcement and the reveal I was going to buy every set (something I've never done before) now I'm doubtful.

Maybe they'll do really well and we'll get a good Zelda line?
FINE

The Sam and Max license has been acquired by Skunkape Games, which is a startup led by one of the cofounders of Telltale. So far, they're just using it to publish the old Sam and Max Telltale games, but here's hoping they do something new with it. Been too long since I played a new Sam and Max game.

Xenoblade launches on my birthday, so maybe that's a sign?

Shinsekai: Into The Depths looks nice - I might pick it up.

Nothing blew me away, but there's a few things int here for me for sure.
FINE

Next Smash character is from Arms, and Ash Twitter is blowing up with people hoping it's Twintelle, because she got a fat ass.

Shinsekai and Good Job both caught my attention, but I'll wait for some reviews to come in before I commit. I keep forgetting that Bravely Default 2 is coming out and I really need to finish off the first one. I just had a few hours left and I drifted away and never went back. I'm amazed nobody from Arms made the initial roster for Smash Bros. The game needs a Dhalsim.

There are rumors going around that Mario's 3D catalog (64, Sunshine, Galaxy 1 & 2) is going to get remastered this year, either All-Stars style or individually, and then we'll get a new back-to-roots Paper Mario. Even the reliable news sites are reporting on it. This would thrill my son, who stumbled on Let's Play videos of Mario Sunshine and has been aching to play it (I don't have the hardware to get my Gamecube hooked up to a TV at the moment) and would thrill me, because I really want to play Mario Sunshine again.
