I saw the Game Grumps live tonight! Oh my God they were AWESOME! I took over 150 photos at the event, many of those were either blurry or just looked stupid and I ended up deleting them. I posted a few pics on both Twitter and Facebook. That was AWESOME and hopefully I will get to see Ninja Sex Party in concert next year if they come to town.

Good for them!  Hopefully a boat load of money doesn’t make them bloated, and instead lets them create more detailed visuals and higher more voice actors. Their ability to tell interesting stories where the player can shape its direction is already some of the best out there.

Now THIS, I'm interested in. There's never been a good port of Final Fantasy VIII. The rumor is that all the original working files from the game have been lost, so this would not have been an easy undertaking.

But a) I like this VIII better than VII (yeah, come at me, brah!) b) they haven't transformed it into something utterly unrecognizable.

Hold on. Have I been doing a lot of drugs lately?  Wasn’t VIII ported to the PC a few years ago?  And didn’t it look exactly like this remaster?  Why is everyone so excited?  I mean I also like VIII better than VII but didn’t I just play it...?

The Steam version that was released is the exact same game as the PC port they put out almost 20 years ago. It looks no better than when I run my PS1 version on an emulator.

Character models are improved somewhat and if it’s anything like the Steam releases of VII and IX there’s also some quality of life improvements.

So yeah, Silksong got shown at E3. Hollow Knight was my favorite game of 2017, so needless to say I'm hyped.

Between this and Bloodstained, it's looking like a good year for Metroidvanias. Now, just gotta finish The Messenger.

From what I understand that has been added in after the CD Project Red twitter account made an insensitive joke about trans people. Kind of a PR move, or an olive branch.  Which is another reason why people aren’t so inclined to give them the benefit of the doubt when it comes to this issue.

Heads up: Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is now available for PC (i.e. Steam and GOG), PS4, and XBox One. From what little I played of the PC version, I found it very enjoyable but the colors oversaturated and the water effects overdone and fake-looking in regards to the graphics.
