Yeah, I think this may be another instance in a long history of instances where Sony saw Nintendo succeed and decided to do it too, without really understanding why it worked.
That's a damn shame because it could have been such a kickass console. I really, really wish they could have obtained the licenses for rarer games on the original Playstation. If they could have done that I might actually have picked one up.
At the current moment though I'm still working on the games on my NES classic and SNES classic so I'm basically drowning in nostalgia right now.
Oh and one more thing... remember the days when you could start playing a game right away without having to go through several pages of legalese and agreeing to the terms, just so you can play the damn game? Yeah, I think those days are going to come to an end fairly soon.
