In the past few months, Marvel Heroes has gone curiously silent. No Halloween Event. Nothing to tie into Thor Ragnarok. Nothing for Punisher (or even Defenders.) Well, today Disney announced that it is cutting all ties with Gazillion, so MH is going away.

This sucks. Marvel Heroes was basically the last holdout from the old, pre-Disney era of Marvel games where a game company could licence everything that Marvel made, rather than the recent Disney strategy of "Can we make a movie out of that character? No. Well, not in the game then." It was a game where the Fantastic Four and X-Men could still be played. That's not the case in Future Fight. The other last game free from that restriction was Lego Marvel Superheroes. Lego Marvel Superheroes 2? While it managed to fit Hitmonkey and Darkhawk in the game a person like, say, Deadpool- who was on the cover of the last game- is nowhere to be found.

But yay. Soon all the new Marvel games will be like the new Star Wars games.

Marvel Puzzle Quest also added a bunch of X-Men to the roster, as if to say, "We can use anything we want!"

Shame about Marvel Heroes. I quit cold turkey about a year ago when I realized I wasn't leaving time for myself to play other, admittedly better. games, Sunk a lot more money than I'd like to think about into the thing as well. It was a blast, though and I regret nothing.

I'm completely stuck on the Shield Training... No Nightcrawler in my roster yet.

In case you missed it, Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon were released today! They're following the route of Emerald and Platinum, retreading the games with more in the way of story elements. The updated character models are cuter, and Buneary is on route 1, which is awesome, because Lopunny has eclipsed all others as my favourite Pokemon~

So, Marvel Heroes update.

Original plan from Gazillion- "We're going to shut down at the end of the year."

Current rumor- Either Disney or a bank has said "No, we're not funding this for another month. You're shutting down Friday."

So, if you'd like to take a last spin around the place, might want to do it now.

Am I the only one having connection issues with Animal Crossing? Load times are extremely long and usually have to retry two or three times to get it done. Really dissuading me from playing the game. I don't remember FEH having these issues at launch.
