Also, facebook has replaced personal (ie; non business) email. Not an easy feat.
That's the only thing I use it for.  Email and status updates to find out which friends are moving, getting married, having babies, etc.  I think I have like 37 invitations.  I don't care.  People need to learn to stop inviting me to name fish or whatever pointless drivel they want me to waste my time with.  It's not even worth the effort to check "Ignore all".

Facebook, to quote Drugs Are Like That, is: "a machine, and it works, and it's perfect, and it just keeps on working."

moving 5000km away for grad school made facebook indispensable for keeping in touch with friends back home.

Jeez...I can't stand her.

The father of a friend of mine in high school was her music director (I use "music" very loosely).  She was always recording current hits and bastardizing the lyrics so that they were Jesus this and Jesus that...and without permission of the writer.  Imagine your favorite break-up song turned on it's ear to say that it doesn't matter "because Jesus loves me".   :grr:

And then that whole Anti-Gay Rights thing....

Oh.....I know.   That film was done by the PBS station in Miami - now known as WPBT - back before they hit it big with "Que Pasa, USA".

I can't work out if the little girl is actually a frumpy looking actress in her late 20s or something, late '70s fashions were like that.

Well normally I think they mean "hey she looks all grown up" not "hey she looks prematurely aged"

Remember when Facebook was just profile pictures, walls, and basic profile info? And it was just for college students?

Those were good days. Good days.

I like the addition of the chat... thats about it... all the games can go. Either way Facebook is here to stay... its amazing how useful it is. I tend to put numbers into my phone and rarely call or text them, Facebook is a bit more open, random, and fun. Hell, its used from anything to wedding invites to future hookups to chating with my buds about the game. I love it.

I like it too.  I'm in the middle of a scrabble game with my cousin who's in Iraq at the moment.
