A Face to the Name thread
« on: January 14, 2007, 08:26:47 AM »
If you don't have a myspace page, then you don't know what some of the members on the forum look like.

So lets post our pics so we can put a face to the name...

Me

my bro on the left and me looking pleased, on the right.
(sorry about the blurryness, we had a few drinks before this was taken...)

Now go forth and post you 'mug'!

I say if you have a rifftrax shirt, you should take your photo in it and post it here...folks have been promising to make a thread for that but I haven't seen one.

(Yes, I'm really that pale.)

I'd like to thank Mike Nelson for letting me borrow his body, and Drew Carey for letting me borrow his head.

Your brother is James Franco? I was gonna say you look like a hockey player, but I guess all Canadians look like hockey players, don't they?

Actually, when he is doing his normal face impression, he really looks like Ethan Hawke.

And yes I do play hockey :)

This is a picture of me portraying Groucho Marx in the last play of my senior year at Rollins College. The pic was taken in April of 2005.

Aaahh! This movie just throws you violently into the next scene!

You've captureed Groucho's smug, self-satisfied grin perfectly. I'm not a Groucho-hater, but his constant one-liner style gets irritating.

Well thank you good sir. Portraying Groucho was alot of fun.

I can understand what you're saying. Groucho's style of comedy is not for everyone.

Don't get me wrong, I enjoy Marx Brothers movies. I just wish Groucho would've spread the jokes around a little. For example, from Duck Soup:

Minister of Finance: Here is the Treasury Department's report, sir. I hope you'll find it clear.
Rufus T. Firefly: Clear? Why a four-year-old child could understand this report. Run out and find me a four-year-old child, I can't make head or tail of it.

To my way of thinking, that type of joke works better if someone else asks for a four-year-old to explain it to Groucho, but it seems like he was unwilling to let anyone else make a joke at his expense.

When I'm not watching RiffTrax, or wasting my time at the Roundtable, I kick back and study up on my own superiority:
