im not saying its nessicarily classical thats the best, all im saying is that its statistically unlikely that modern music is the "best" in any way thatll hold water.

I'd say that anything from 1977 is modern music compared to, say, Verdi or Beethoven, which I think is what Sarcasm means.

Well, since albums as such weren't really invented until the 50's, I don't think you need to worry about anything before that when actually classifying "greatest album".

As for greatest piece of music of all time, I think there's a strong case to be made for Stravinsky's Rite of Spring because of how much it changed and how far ahead of its time it was. Of the many pieces of music throughout the years that have broken down the barriers of what is possible or allowed in music, I think it's the one that's hade the most profound effect.

Blackened, ONE, Dyers Eve...
This is a metal icon, and showcases Metallica in all their metal glory. It's angry, it's introspective, it's powerful.

I would rate Master of Puppets as second best, only by a slight margin.
