We in Dallas have the Cowboys' number. We know not to invest too much into them, because every time they make it all the way to almost the very end, they screw up so royally, you wonder who the hell they are and why they're getting paid so much.

That game was utterly pathetic. So many early opportunities missed. Hell, it should have been Dallas 14 Minnesota zip in the first quarter, but no such luck. Then Favre continues to baffle us all by being amazing even at 40. Then the Cowboys go into a trance and forget how to play the damn game. Romo was being pummeled every time he got the ball, and the kicker couldn't manage even a close field goal.

It's like they only ever want to get to the playoffs. Lucky for me, I don't really care, in the end.

Wait a minute...are these the same fans who used to be so obnoxious about "two Super Bowls in a row"?

Just because Jimmy and his Johnson isn't there to arrange for the players to rape and pillage their way though town anymore....?

(I kid because I love....)

Yeah....the man who pissed the last few years of Dan Marino's career down his leg by pairing him with a bunch of receivers who practically just got out of jail and all did their damnedest to go back by the time the season started....

Dont forget the running back who liked to break into women's apartments and poop in laundry baskets.    That was a classic.

To be fair......he was a University of Miami player and that was long after Johnson himself was gone (even though the mindset lingered).

And it was that he broke into the girl's dorm room at Barry University (up the street from where I grew up) and he took the dump on the floor of her closet.

Always remember "You can't spell "scum" without UM"

Sadly, Jimmy Johnson drafted him for the dolphins and had "issues" after the "dump" affair in college.   Good old Cecil Collins.

"College career
After sitting out his freshman year he began his football career at LSU in grand fashion sitting our the first game of the season serving a suspension for breaking team rules. After this ignoble beginning however Collins went out and compiled 596 yards in his first four games before breaking his leg versus Vanderbilt.

He was kicked off of the LSU squad before the start of his second season after being twice arrested for illegally entering dwellings. He claimed he was sleepwalking and had no recollection of entering the girls' rooms. He received probation as his sentence and made a second attempt at college football at then Division II McNeese State University but violated his probation when he failed a drug screen and was kicked off of the McNeese squad as well.

[edit] NFL career
Collins was selected as the first pick in the fifth round of the 1999 NFL Draft by the Dolphins out of McNeese State University by then coach-general manager Jimmy Johnson. Johnson explained that he believed Collins had only been sleepwalking. He appeared in eight games in the 1999 season, accumulating 414 yards and two touchdowns.

[edit] Legal issues
On December 16, 1999, Collins committed burglary in Palm Trace Landings, an apartment complex in Davie, Florida. He admits he broke into the home of a married woman that he knew from the gym, but said he only wanted to watch her sleep. After conviction on the charge, he was sentenced to 15 years in prison. His current release date is in 2014. Upon release, he may face incarceration in Louisiana due to his prior conduct there."

That wasn't Collins dumping in the closet - it was Najeh Davenport who went to the Packers.

And my Ex used to be a process server and went to that apartment complex with eviction notices all the time.  The Dolphin organization used it to put up players because it's near the training facility in Davie.  He was told by people in the office of that complex that what Collins did was "nothing" compared to what some of what other players had pulled or tried to pull.  Collins' stunt was just the first one that couldn't be covered up.

Wow, too many miscrients to keep track of!

I wonder how messed up you have to be to take a dump on someone's floor and to stare at someone while they are sleeping?

Davenport was "messed up" - can't remember what they said it was.

As for Collins....maybe he's a sparkly vampire and he just hides it better than most.

There are definitely some similarities, there. Mike has a little making up to do in the neck department. Or should I say he actually has a neck?

This could be good for the Bills. Gailey has a ton of experience.

Source: Bills hire Gailey as coach

The Buffalo Bills have hired former Dallas Cowboys and Georgia Tech coach Chan Gailey as their new coach, a team source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter.

The team announced it would hold a news conference at its facility in Orchard Park, N.Y., at 2 p.m. ET.

The Bills are said to be impressed with how Gailey has brought teams to the playoffs with quarterbacks such as Mike Tomczak, Kordell Stewart and Jay Fiedler. In fact, Bill Cowher -- whom the Bills had been courting to replace the fired Dick Jauron -- highly recommended Gailey to the Bills.

Cowher planned to make Gailey his assistant head coach/offensive coordinator if he came back. Gailey has coached in four Super Bowls and has had his teams go to the playoffs in 11 of his 15 NFL seasons.

The 58-year-old Gailey fits the profile set by newly hired general manager Buddy Nix, who preferred hiring someone with head-coaching experience. Gailey has run college and pro teams, including a two-year stint as coach of the World League of American Football Birmingham Fire in 1991-92. He also coached Troy State (1983-84) and Samford (1993).

Gailey was coach of the Cowboys in 1998-99, following Barry Switzer, reaching the playoffs in both seasons but failing to win a playoff game. He was dismissed after the 1999 season, and Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has acknowledged his mistake in firing Gailey.
