ESPN folks pushing the rumor hard that Bill Cowher will be the coach of the Carolina Panthers next year.

RVR II will be happy.

Yes.. I.. Am.. :o
Quote
Those who know former Pittsburgh coach Bill Cowher say he is gearing up to return as an NFL coach next season. Cowher is mentally preparing himself and contemplating how he would structure his organization.

With a return on the horizon, many around the league believe the most logical landing spot by far is the Carolina Panthers, where speculation is mounting that Panthers coach John Fox is on the endangered list. Of course, Fox has been there before and always has done what he could to keep his job. But this time, the Panthers have a newly hired president, Danny Morrison, who has no ties or connections to anyone in the organization other than Jerry Richardson.

A source connected to the Panthers source said he expects the team to pursue Cowher, who lives in North Carolina and has been waiting for the ideal opportunity to return to coaching. Plus, consider these notable coincidences: Cowher has a daughter who is a freshman at Wofford College in Spartanburg, S.C., where the Panthers hold training camp. Morrison also graduated from Wofford, where he later became the director of athletics and the school's senior vice president. Cowher continues to be on Carolina's radar, and recent signs only reinforce the notion.
And besides, he resides in Raleigh, NC (just a couple hour drive to the north east of Charlotte) so it would be Perfect for him 8)

If That should become a reality, I'll (Panthers fans will) be Very Stoked about the future possibilities

EDIT: If he does happen to come to town, I'd like to see Cower keep Fox on as maybe a defensive coach or coordinator, like back in the 90's Steeler days :o

Still early in the first quarter, and I am already done watching the Rams game.   Two horrible passes by Cutler that our DBs REFUSE to look at and face guard the receivers who make the catches.    Boller is a horrible QB and he keeps missing wide open guys.

Time to watch better games and read about the 17-0 loss later....

Sadly, it is no longer 2005.

Just painful to watch, Steven Jackson must be ready to kill all his teammates.

Can we make that 17-7?

I could really use a TD out of Jackson.

There are some interesting potential trap games afoot.

Jackson had his usual 100+ yard game, so you should be happy.

However, Boller is the shittiest QB I have ever seen and the rams lose 17-9.     Goodbye season tickets......

Wow, Oakland just got a last second TD to win the game.

The Dolphins just went ahead of the Patriots......

The Saints might lose....
