For those that want to see college seniors play a couple months before the NFL draft, the Senior Bowl (no not a retirement home shuffleboard contest) is on the NFL channel at 3pm central today.

Time so see if Tim Tebow has learned anything about footwork yet.....

I'd rather see the senior citizens game of football.

"and that makes the 17th player out of the game to injury and it is only the first quarter..."

Meanwhile, this is stupid: http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/2009/news/story?id=4871697

Second round?    More likely 4th or 5th round, that is, unless Al Davis escapes his chains and picks him sooner.   From everything I read, he is at least 3 years away from being NFL ready.    I wonder why Florida did not try and correct all the mechanical flaws he has?    I know he was great with the flaws, but some coaching could have made him even better.

The whole "Who Dat" thing is stupid.    That clearly should not be "owned" by the NFL.   Reminds me when the Seahawks were claiming they owned the phrase "the 12th Man" when Texas A&M had been using that phrase for decades before.

As in they are struggling to play defense.

It's weird watching guys play at 3/4 speed. It looks like a much different game. Although that block that Vincent Jackson put on Matthews was very un-Pro Bowl.

Look at it from their perspective....

Maybe they get something from the home team for making Pro Bowl and a little in their pockets from the game itself.

But it's a great way to get a possibly career ending injury for no damn good reason.  And they're not even playing in Hawaii anymore.

I'd walk through it, too.

Agreed, if I were a player, with NOTHING at stake, I would move at half speed and make sure I dont bump into anyone.

They just need to name the team, fly people there, give out the season awards (MVP, coach of the year, etc.), make it a fanfest.

It's pretty fun to watch but I agree with you guys. The bottom line is any potential for injury is too risky. Guys get held up and some dude falls on their knee all the time. Too dangerous at any speed. It seems like there are guys who really don't want to be out there. Like I was watching Frank Gore and he was pretty much jogging around and making sure nobody ran into him.

My predictions:

If Saints Win: New Orleans experiences looting, cars being turned over, lots of fires and rioting.

If Saints Lose: New Orleans experiences looting, cars being turned over, lots of fires and rioting.
