Well I watched about half of this track yesterday, and while I love Chad Vader's work and the Episode IV Riff that Blame Society has done in the past. I was quite underwhelmed.

I thought the sample was decent but didn't find too many other funny parts. Maybe its because the movie has aged so poorly. Wow i remember loving this film was i was little but just couldn't believe how bad it is.

Anyone else give this track a go?

Was surprised their wasn't even an announcement thread with the sample

Eh. I got a few giggles out of A New Hope. Nothing substantial. I'll pass on this one.

I have nothing against them personally. I think Chad Vader the show is hilarious.

I liked the sample well enough. I just don't have the movie in my DVD collection though. I might if I find it because the bad guys in the Running man games are cheesily over the top. There is much to be riffed there.
Being a genocidal maniac is not one of my turn ons.

Is it weird to hear the Safety Dance in my head watching Game of Thrones?

I mentioned this elsewhere, but this was the very first riff I ever requested, about 2 years before I became an active, regular poster.

I'm kinda disappointed that it was Blame Society doing it as a Rifftrax Presents.  Outside of a Star Wars context, a Darth Vader impersonator just seems weird.  It's like Santa Claus.  In December, he's a symbol of the season; caring, giving, joy, yadda yadda.  In August... he's just a fat man with a beard who's dress inappropriately for the weather.

I haven't actually viewed the 'trax yet.  I only got halfway done (ripped the DVD, downloaded the riff file, fabricated part of the menus) before I had to go to work today.  I expect I'll watch tommorrow.

Having Chad Vader there was kinda weird, yeah, but Chad is bar none the reason they're famous, so I guess they thought it would make it sell better?

Anyways I just find these guys really gosh darn likeable and they definitely don't need Chad to carry them. The droll, deadpan deliveries just cracked me up at spots.

Huh. I guess I'm the only person who listened to the riff last night.

The trax is amusing, but not spectacular. I laughed at a number of jokes, and was amused by others, and the running gags were generally amusing  (I liked the dance mix, but the "rape"jokes fell flat with me, and the jokes about the accents wore out their welcome after a while), but overall it never really rises above the "okay" level. They do manage to do a much better Arnie than I can though.

I haven't listened to Ghost yet, but it terms of recent releases, I'd put it behind Tron, which I wasn't overwhelmed by either.

I loved the sample. Now I have yet another riff to add to the list of purchases when I get paid.

Chad Vader really bothers me as a guest riffer.  So I'll pass on this one, even though I own the movie already.
I liked the Dirty Dancing riff well enough to give Ghost a try soon.  Since Tron wasn't very good, and Matt Elliot was kind of boring, I won't be purchasing tracks based on the Rifftrax name alone anymore.

I wouldn't either, except psychotic compulsion forces me to.
