My kid has just made the leap from Duplo to Lego, and I am so happy!

Built Lighthouse Point (31051) yesterday, my first Lego purchase as an adult. Fantastic.

Well, that's where all my spending money is going for awhile...

Currently, I own these:

71171 Starter Pack Batman, Gandalf, Wyldstyle, Batmobile (PS4)
71203 Portal 2 Level Pack
71209 Wonder Woman Fun Pack
71221 Wicked Witch Fun Pack
71227 Krusty Fun Pack
71228 Ghostbusters Level Pack
71230 Doc Brown Fun Pack
71231 Unikitty Fun Pack
71232 Eris Fun Pack
71239 Lloyd Fun Pack
71241 Slimer Fun Pack
71244 Sonic the Hedgehog Level Pack
71245 Adventure Time Level Pack
71251 A-Team Fun Pack
71257 Tina Goldstein Fun Pack

As you can tell, I've been heavily into Lego Dimensions. Blame a certain blue hedgehog for getting me hooked.

With the Saturn V set out, I've been very tempted to buy it.  But I decided I had to get a shuttle set first before the price went up even higher.  I picked up a used version of this on eBay for $112:

It was missing about 200 pieces out of 1200.  It's not nearly as bad as it sounds.  I had enough pieces that I was able to build it, and not really notice anything missing.  I just ordered the missing parts on Bricklink for $20.  $132 isn't too bad for that set.  It usually sells for about $180 used.  Now I need to justify buying the Saturn V.

Ohhhh. I was obsessed with NASA and space travel as a kid, so my inner child is screaming for me to get this now.

Part of me wants to get it because of the size, but I'm not all that into Star Wars.

See, I love Star Wars and love the Millennium Falcon, but that thing must cost like $1000.

$1300 here.

It's so big the manual is spiral bound and if you buy it at a Lego store, it comes in a box with wheels.

Yeah the biggest thing to put me off Legos are the prices. I mean damn.  :(

If you buy as sets are retiring, you can usually get pretty good deals, but that's only for people who are obsessive collectors.

I thought obsessive collectors buy things the moment they come out.
