For me I just couldn't stop paying attention to the movie. There are laughs to be had, but the film is too strong, it demands my attention and as was best said by a member at another board. The riffing does come off like teenagers in a theater who ruin a movie with their smart ass remarks. Never before in the history of riffing have I experienced that sensation.... but Casablanca is not a pizza that's was in need of bacon.
Still, as Trace said of criticisms they received for riffing on This Island Earth, "It's not like we painted a mustache on the Mona Lisa", so true...
I'll always have Paris, it's not like Rifftrax ruined this classic, it was a noble experiment with many a good quip (Loved Bill's Bat-signal line for example). but I don't think I'll make a return visit to this one.
Still, a solid 7 - I liked it better than the Dinosaurs, but not up to Twillight levels for me,
